I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
